CVSS v3.1 |
| The gst_riff_create_audio_caps function in gst-libs/gst/riff/riff-media.c in gst-plugins-base in GStreamer before 1.10.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (floating point exception and crash) via a crafted ASF file. |
| The gst_riff_create_audio_caps function in gst-libs/gst/riff/riff-media.c in gst-plugins-base in GStreamer before 1.10.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (floating point exception and crash) via a crafted video file. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: stmmac: make sure that ptp_rate is not 0 before configuring EST
If the ptp_rate recorded earlier in the driver happens to be 0, this
bogus value will propagate up to EST configuration, where it will
trigger a division by 0.
Prevent this division by 0 by adding the corresponding check and error
code. |
| A division-by-zero vulnerability in the flow.floor_divide() component of OneFlow v0.9.0 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input tensor with zero. |
| A vulnerability has been found in Mapnik up to 4.2.0. This vulnerability affects the function mapnik::detail::mod<...>::operator of the file src/value.cpp. The manipulation leads to divide by zero. The attack needs to be performed locally. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
clk: sunxi-ng: mp: Fix dual-divider clock rate readback
When dual-divider clock support was introduced, the P divider offset was
left out of the .recalc_rate readback function. This causes the clock
rate to become bogus or even zero (possibly due to the P divider being
1, leading to a divide-by-zero).
Fix this by incorporating the P divider offset into the calculation. |
| A floating-point exception (FPE) in the flow.column_stack component of OneFlow v0.9.0 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input. |
| A floating point exception (FPE) in the oneflow.view component of OneFlow v0.9.0 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input. |
| A floating point exception (FPE) in the oneflow.reshape component of OneFlow v0.9.0 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input. |
| In the memory_pages crate 0.1.0 for Rust, division by zero can occur. |
| In Deark before v1.5.8, a specially crafted input file can cause a division by zero in (src/fmtutil.c) because of the value of pixelsize. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/damon/reclaim: avoid divide-by-zero in damon_reclaim_apply_parameters()
When creating a new scheme of DAMON_RECLAIM, the calculation of
'min_age_region' uses 'aggr_interval' as the divisor, which may lead to
division-by-zero errors. Fix it by directly returning -EINVAL when such a
case occurs. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/damon/lru_sort: avoid divide-by-zero in damon_lru_sort_apply_parameters()
Patch series "mm/damon: avoid divide-by-zero in DAMON module's parameters
application".
DAMON's RECLAIM and LRU_SORT modules perform no validation on
user-configured parameters during application, which may lead to
division-by-zero errors.
Avoid the divide-by-zero by adding validation checks when DAMON modules
attempt to apply the parameters.
This patch (of 2):
During the calculation of 'hot_thres' and 'cold_thres', either
'sample_interval' or 'aggr_interval' is used as the divisor, which may
lead to division-by-zero errors. Fix it by directly returning -EINVAL
when such a case occurs. Additionally, since 'aggr_interval' is already
required to be set no smaller than 'sample_interval' in damon_set_attrs(),
only the case where 'sample_interval' is zero needs to be checked. |
| A divide-by-zero in the encryption/decryption routines of GNU Recutils v1.9 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via inputting an empty value as a password. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fbdev: savage: Error out if pixclock equals zero
The userspace program could pass any values to the driver through
ioctl() interface. If the driver doesn't check the value of pixclock,
it may cause divide-by-zero error.
Although pixclock is checked in savagefb_decode_var(), but it is not
checked properly in savagefb_probe(). Fix this by checking whether
pixclock is zero in the function savagefb_check_var() before
info->var.pixclock is used as the divisor.
This is similar to CVE-2022-3061 in i740fb which was fixed by
commit 15cf0b8. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fbdev: sis: Error out if pixclock equals zero
The userspace program could pass any values to the driver through
ioctl() interface. If the driver doesn't check the value of pixclock,
it may cause divide-by-zero error.
In sisfb_check_var(), var->pixclock is used as a divisor to caculate
drate before it is checked against zero. Fix this by checking it
at the beginning.
This is similar to CVE-2022-3061 in i740fb which was fixed by
commit 15cf0b8. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
libnvdimm/labels: Fix divide error in nd_label_data_init()
If a faulty CXL memory device returns a broken zero LSA size in its
memory device information (Identify Memory Device (Opcode 4000h), CXL
spec. 3.1, 8.2.9.9.1.1), a divide error occurs in the libnvdimm
driver:
Oops: divide error: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP NOPTI
RIP: 0010:nd_label_data_init+0x10e/0x800 [libnvdimm]
Code and flow:
1) CXL Command 4000h returns LSA size = 0
2) config_size is assigned to zero LSA size (CXL pmem driver):
drivers/cxl/pmem.c: .config_size = mds->lsa_size,
3) max_xfer is set to zero (nvdimm driver):
drivers/nvdimm/label.c: max_xfer = min_t(size_t, ndd->nsarea.max_xfer, config_size);
4) A subsequent DIV_ROUND_UP() causes a division by zero:
drivers/nvdimm/label.c: /* Make our initial read size a multiple of max_xfer size */
drivers/nvdimm/label.c: read_size = min(DIV_ROUND_UP(read_size, max_xfer) * max_xfer,
drivers/nvdimm/label.c- config_size);
Fix this by checking the config size parameter by extending an
existing check. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
jfs: add sanity check for agwidth in dbMount
The width in dmapctl of the AG is zero, it trigger a divide error when
calculating the control page level in dbAllocAG.
To avoid this issue, add a check for agwidth in dbAllocAG. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
video: fbdev: i740fb: Check the argument of i740_calc_vclk()
Since the user can control the arguments of the ioctl() from the user
space, under special arguments that may result in a divide-by-zero bug.
If the user provides an improper 'pixclock' value that makes the argumet
of i740_calc_vclk() less than 'I740_RFREQ_FIX', it will cause a
divide-by-zero bug in:
drivers/video/fbdev/i740fb.c:353 p_best = min(15, ilog2(I740_MAX_VCO_FREQ / (freq / I740_RFREQ_FIX)));
The following log can reveal it:
divide error: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP KASAN PTI

RIP: 0010:i740fb_decode_var drivers/video/fbdev/i740fb.c:646 [inline]
RIP: 0010:i740fb_set_par+0x163f/0x3b70 drivers/video/fbdev/i740fb.c:742

fb_ioctl+0xdd/0x130 drivers/video/fbdev/core/fbmem.c:1189
Fix this by checking the argument of i740_calc_vclk() first. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fbdev: fb_pm2fb: Avoid potential divide by zero error
In `do_fb_ioctl()` of fbmem.c, if cmd is FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO, var will be
copied from user, then go through `fb_set_var()` and
`info->fbops->fb_check_var()` which could may be `pm2fb_check_var()`.
Along the path, `var->pixclock` won't be modified. This function checks
whether reciprocal of `var->pixclock` is too high. If `var->pixclock` is
zero, there will be a divide by zero error. So, it is necessary to check
whether denominator is zero to avoid crash. As this bug is found by
Syzkaller, logs are listed below.
