CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: bcmasp: fix double free of WoL irq
We do not need to free wol_irq since it was instantiated with
devm_request_irq(). So devres will free for us. |
| Successful exploitation of the
string injection vulnerability could allow an attacker to obtain memory address
information or crash the application. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
pinctrl: cirrus: cs42l43: Fix double-put in cs42l43_pin_probe()
devm_add_action_or_reset() already invokes the action on failure,
so the explicit put causes a double-put. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
apparmor: Fix double free of ns_name in aa_replace_profiles()
if ns_name is NULL after
1071 error = aa_unpack(udata, &lh, &ns_name);
and if ent->ns_name contains an ns_name in
1089 } else if (ent->ns_name) {
then ns_name is assigned the ent->ns_name
1095 ns_name = ent->ns_name;
however ent->ns_name is freed at
1262 aa_load_ent_free(ent);
and then again when freeing ns_name at
1270 kfree(ns_name);
Fix this by NULLing out ent->ns_name after it is transferred to ns_name

| Format string vulnerability in the CNS_AddTxt function in logs.dll in 2K Games Vietcong 2 1.10 and earlier might allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via format string specifiers in the nickname. |
| Format string vulnerability in Login Window in Apple Mac OS X 10.4.11 and 10.5 before 10.5.8 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (application crash) via format string specifiers in an application name. |
| Format string vulnerability in Ipswitch WS_FTP Home 2007.0.0.2 and WS_FTP Professional 2007.1.0.0 allows remote FTP servers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via format string specifiers in a connection greeting (response). |
| Format string vulnerability in the vinagre_utils_show_error function (src/vinagre-utils.c) in Vinagre 0.5.x before 0.5.2 and 2.x before 2.24.2 might allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via format string specifiers in a crafted URI or VNC server response. |
| Format string vulnerability in the finger client in HP TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS 5.x allows local users to gain privileges via format string specifiers in a (1) .plan or (2) .project file. |
| MySQL 5.0 before 5.0.66, 5.1 before 5.1.26, and 6.0 before 6.0.6 does not properly handle a b'' (b single-quote single-quote) token, aka an empty bit-string literal, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (daemon crash) by using this token in a SQL statement. |
| The format string protection mechanism in IMAPD for Perdition Mail Retrieval Proxy 1.17 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via an IMAP tag with a null byte followed by a format string specifier, which is not counted by the mechanism. |
| Format string vulnerability in TIBCO SmartPGM FX allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via format string specifiers in unspecified vectors. NOTE: as of 20071016, the only disclosure is a vague pre-advisory with no actionable information. However, since it is from a well-known researcher, it is being assigned a CVE identifier for tracking purposes. |
| Multiple format string vulnerabilities in client/client.c in smbclient in Samba 3.2.0 through 3.2.12 might allow context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code via format string specifiers in a filename. |
| IBM DB2 UDB 8 before Fixpak 15 and 9.1 before Fixpak 3 allows local users to create arbitrary directories and execute arbitrary code via a "crafted localized message file" that enables a format string attack, possibly involving the (1) OSSEMEMDBG or (2) TRC_LOG_FILE environment variable in db2licd (db2licm). |
| Format string vulnerability in Wireshark 0.99.8 through 1.0.5 on non-Windows platforms allows local users to cause a denial of service (application crash) via format string specifiers in the HOME environment variable. |
| The popen API function in TSRM/tsrm_win32.c in PHP before 5.2.11 and 5.3.x before 5.3.1, when running on certain Windows operating systems, allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted (1) "e" or (2) "er" string in the second argument (aka mode), possibly related to the _fdopen function in the Microsoft C runtime library. NOTE: this might not cross privilege boundaries except in rare cases in which the mode argument is accessible to an attacker outside of an application that uses the popen function. |
| The Platform Service Process (asampsp) in Fan-Out Driver Platform Services for Novell Identity Manager (IDM) 3.5.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (daemon crash) via unspecified network traffic that triggers a syslog message containing invalid format string specifiers, as demonstrated by a Nessus scan. |
| Format string vulnerability in Address Book in Apple Mac OS X 10.4.11 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via the URL handler. |
| Format string vulnerability in the inputAnswer function in file.c in w3m before 0.5.2, when run with the dump or backend option, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via format string specifiers in the Common Name (CN) field of an SSL certificate associated with an https URL. |
| Format string vulnerability in the logDetail function of applib.dll in McAfee Common Management Agent (CMA) 3.6.0.574 (Patch 3) and earlier, as used in ePolicy Orchestrator 4.0.0 build 1015, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) or execute arbitrary code via format string specifiers in a sender field in an AgentWakeup request to UDP port 8082. NOTE: this issue only exists when the debug level is 8. |
