A security flaw has been discovered in cosmicstack-labs mercury-agent up to 1.1.13. The impacted element is the function PermissionManager.checkShellCommand of the file mercury-agent/src/capabilities/permissions.ts of the component Shell Command Permission Check. Performing a manipulation results in improper authorization. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
CVE-2026-90493 1 Tonec 1 Internet Download Manager 2026-09-15 8.8 High
A vulnerability was detected in Tonec Internet Download Manager up to 6.42 Build 63 on Windows. The impacted element is an unknown function of the file idmwfp.sys of the component Kernel Driver. The manipulation results in improper access controls. Attacking locally is a requirement. Internet Download Manager for Windows up to and including 6.42 Build 63 installs idmwfp.sys, a Windows kernel driver that exposes the \.\IDMWFP device interface to authenticated local users. The device object is created with an access control descriptor equivalent to D:P(A;;GA;;;AU), granting Authenticated Users generic access to the driver. The driver's IOCTL 0x12C028 handler accepts registry-operation subcommands 0x0C through 0x0F and processes caller-controlled registry paths and values. These handlers do not authenticate the caller, do not enforce the caller's registry permissions, and do not restrict operations to IDM-owned registry namespaces. A low-privileged local authenticated user can therefore read, create, modify, and delete arbitrary registry values under HKLM and HKU through the kernel driver. This includes registry configuration consumed by privileged Windows services and drivers and enables Local Privilege Escalation, high-privilege persistence, unauthorized system configuration disclosure or modification, and compromise of system confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Exploitation requires local access, low privileges, and no user interaction. A public proof of concept is available. The exploit is now public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
CVE-2026-88891 1 Openpanel 1 Openpanel 2026-09-15 8.3 High
OpenPanel fails to enforce read-only project access level on 26 of 29 mutating procedures, allowing read-level members to modify, delete, and publish project data. Attackers with explicit read-only access can delete reports and dashboards, schedule entire projects for deletion, publish private analytics to public share links, and modify alerting rules by exploiting missing access level validation in mutation resolvers.
CVE-2026-75983 2026-09-15 7.5 High
The Eventin – Event Calendar, Tickets, Registration, Booking & WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 4.1.23. This is due to the `PermissionManager::manage_permissions()` function being registered as a callback on WordPress core's `map_meta_cap` filter and unconditionally returning the always-true `'exist'` primitive for every capability check whenever the evaluated user ID is 1, without scoping this behavior to plugin-specific capabilities. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers whose account is user ID 1, even subscribers, to pass every WordPress capability check, including `manage_options`, `edit_plugins`, `edit_themes`, `promote_users`, and `update_core`, thereby elevating their privileges to administrator-equivalent power and achieving full site takeover, including remote code execution via the plugin and theme editors. Exploitation is only impactful when user ID 1 has been deliberately demoted to a lower-privilege role as a common administrator-account hardening practice; on default installations where user ID 1 retains the administrator role, no incremental privilege gain occurs.

CVE-2026-54168 2026-09-15 6.5 Medium
Pipelines-as-Code is a CI/CD system that lets users define Tekton pipelines in source code repositories. Prior to 0.37.8, 0.39.6, 0.42.1, and 0.48.0, a GitHub App installation token created during webhook processing is not scoped to the repository that triggered the event when the App is installed across multiple repositories. A user with push access to one repository can submit a PipelineRun containing a pipelinesascode.tekton.dev/task remote task annotation that targets a private repository in the same installation. When ScopeTokenToListOfRepos returns no explicit scope, the missing triggering repository ID leaves the token able to access the entire installation. Pipelines-as-Code resolves and inlines the remote private task with that token, disclosing the repository's Tekton definitions. The demonstrated impact is read-only and does not provide write access. This issue is fixed in versions 0.37.8, 0.39.6, 0.42.1, and 0.48.0.
CVE-2026-92033 1 Mozilla 1 Firefox 2026-09-15 8.8 High
Privilege escalation in Firefox for Android. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156.
CVE-2026-14805 2026-09-15 8.8 High
The Consulting theme for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in versions up to, and including, 6.7.16. This is due to a combination of two flaws: (1) the masterstudy_ms_stm_set_discard_transient AJAX endpoint in admin/admin-notices/classes/STMHandler.php accepts an arbitrary transient key without capability checks or nonce validation, and (2) the developer access login mechanism in admin/classes/stm-theme-support.php authenticates users based on a transient value without proper cryptographic validation when in legacy string mode. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to set the stm_developer_access_token transient to a known value (1), then authenticate as any existing user including administrators by visiting a specially crafted URL, thereby achieving full privilege escalation to administrator.
CVE-2026-86909 1 Apple 1 Macos 2026-09-15 N/A
A logic issue was addressed with improved state management. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27. An app may be able to bypass Gatekeeper checks.

CVE-2026-16772 1 Akaunting 1 Akaunting 2026-09-14 8.1 High
In Akaunting versions <= 3.1.21, low‑privileged authenticated users can modify their own account to assign themselves the admin role ID, granting full administrator privileges. This vulnerability is caused by a flaw in the `UpdateUser` job, which processes user-supplied role assignments via an unconditional `roles()->sync()` call without verifying whether the caller is authorized to manage roles. Users only require the default `update-auth-profile` permission to access the self-update path and assign themselves as admins. The API endpoints are properly permission‑gated and are not affected by this issue. This vulnerability has been remediated in v3.2.0, commit 80ef6d3b154a.

CVE-2026-46696 2026-09-14 3.3 Low
October System provides the system module for October Content Management System. Versions prior to 3.7.17 and 4.2.21 have a vulnerability in the Twig sandbox security policy that allowed a chained bypass when `cms.safe_mode` is enabled. The Laravel session store was exposed to Twig with unrestricted method access, and raw SQL methods reachable through Eloquent's `__call` forwarding were not blocked across the full builder chain. When combined, a backend user with CMS markup editing access could read arbitrary database values via raw SQL expressions and write to the backend authentication session key, forging a backend session as another existing user. The scope of impact is narrow. Safe Mode is a niche feature, primarily used for demo installations and multi-tenant or shared-editor scenarios where untrusted users are deliberately granted access to the CMS markup editor. Standard production deployments do not enable Safe Mode, because under normal October CMS guidance backend access - including markup editing - is restricted to trusted administrators, and direct PHP injection through markup is already possible without Safe Mode in that configuration. This issue only affects sites that meet all of the following conditions: `cms.safe_mode` is enabled (a deliberate opt-in for demos or untrusted-editor scenarios; the site has at least one backend user with CMS markup editing access who is not intended to be trusted as a full administrator; and the site has at least one existing superuser account whose session the lower-privileged user can impersonate. The vulnerability has been patched in v3.7.17 and v4.2.21. The Laravel session store is now wrapped in a proxy that exposes only an explicit subset of read/write methods and rejects writes to reserved session key prefixes (`admin_auth`, `october_auth`, `login_*`, `_token`, and other framework internals). Raw SQL and subquery methods (`selectRaw`, `whereRaw`, `orderByRaw`, `joinSub`, and related) are now blocked on `Query\Builder`, `Eloquent\Builder`, and `Eloquent\Model` so the blocklist is consistent across the `__call` forwarding chain. All sites that enable `cms.safe_mode` are encouraged to upgrade to the latest patched version. A workaround is available. Restrict CMS markup editing access to fully trusted administrators only - the standard October CMS recommendation for any deployment. Note that disabling `cms.safe_mode` is not a workaround; Safe Mode is the boundary this issue affects, and disabling it removes the only sandbox between markup editors and the server.
