| A flaw was found in samba's pam_winbind. When mkhomedir is enabled, pam_winbind chowns the target account's home directory without validating the path is not a critical system directory such as /. On affected systems, accounts with / as their home directory (a common default for system accounts) can have this triggered not only by root, but by a non-root user holding a narrow sudo delegation to run commands as that account, causing ownership of / to change and resulting in severe denial of service (SSH, sudo, and package-manager failures). The change does not grant write access to / (which ships with restrictive 0555 permissions on RHEL), so the impact is availability loss rather than further privilege escalation. |
| Hermes WebUI before 0.51.521 validates the workspace of an imported session under the active named profile but constructs the Session object without setting its profile in the /api/session/import handler, so the imported session is persisted with a null profile. Because a null profile is treated as the default profile by the profile authorization check, a user on the default profile can export the imported session transcript and use its session identifier to read files from the named profile's workspace, defeating the application's profile isolation. |

| Composer is a dependency Manager for the PHP language. Prior to 2.2.29 and 2.10.2, a Composer package bin entry containing .. path segments can resolve outside the package install directory and cause Composer's binary installation flow to chmod an existing host file to a world-readable and world-executable mode during composer install, update, or require. This issue is fixed in versions 2.2.29 and 2.10.2. |

| Mockoon provides way to design and run mock APIs. Prior to 9.7.0, Mockoon's admin API in commons-server/src/libs/server/admin-api.ts is mounted on the same Express listener as user-defined mock routes, enabled by default in shipped runtimes, serves Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * with write methods allowed, and has no authentication. Any unauthenticated caller who can reach the mock server port can read MOCKOON_* environment variables, write arbitrary process environment variables through /mockoon-admin/env-vars, rewrite mock route bodies, statuses, and headers through PUT /mockoon-admin/environment, read transaction logs and SSE streams, and purge state. This issue is fixed in version 9.7.0. |

| Overly permissive file permissions in AWS CLI before 1.44.78 (v1) and 2.34.29 (v2) on Unix-like systems where the umask has not been configured to restrict file permissions (the default on most systems) may allow other local users on the same host to read credentials written by certain CLI subcommands (aws codeartifact login, aws iam create-virtual-mfa-device, aws deploy register).
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to AWS CLI 1.44.78 (v1) or 2.34.29 (v2) or later. |
| A vulnerability was recently discovered in the rpc.mountd daemon in the nfs-utils package for Linux, that allows a NFSv3 client to escalate the
privileges assigned to it in the /etc/exports file at mount time. In particular, it allows the client to access any subdirectory or subtree of an exported directory, regardless of the set file permissions, and regardless of any 'root_squash' or 'all_squash' attributes that would normally be expected to apply to that client. |
| mise manages dev tools like node, python, cmake, and terraform. Prior to 2026.6.4, mise's trust feature gates config files (mise.toml, .tool-versions) through trust_check, but task-include files are loaded on a path that never reaches it. When a directory has a task-include dir (mise-tasks/, .mise/tasks/, …) but no config file, mise falls back to the default includes and renders each task's tera fields — and that tera environment has exec() registered. A {{ exec(command='…') }} in any rendered field runs arbitrary commands the moment the tasks are merely listed. There's no config file to gate on, so no trust prompt ever appears. Read-only commands trigger it: mise tasks, mise task ls, mise run, mise tasks --usage (the query shell completion runs on Tab). The victim only has to cd into a cloned repo and list or tab-complete a task. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.6.4. |
| Pi is a minimal terminal coding harness. From 0.74.0 until 0.78.1, Pi stored API keys and OAuth credentials in auth.json. A race condition in the file write path could briefly create or rewrite this file with permissions derived from the process umask before tightening the file to owner-only permissions. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.78.1. |

| motionEye (mEye) is an online interface for motion software, a video surveillance program with motion detection. Versions prior to 0.44.0 create the configuration file /etc/motioneye/motion.conf with 644 permissions (-rw-r--r--), making it readable by any local user on the system. This file contains sensitive data including the admin password hash, which can be leveraged by other vulnerabilities to escalate privileges. Additionally, per-camera configuration files (camera-*.conf) are also created with the same 644 permissions, potentially exposing camera-specific credentials and settings. The exposed SHA1 admin password hash can be cracked offline to recover the plaintext password, used directly to forge authenticated admin API requests via the signature authentication weakness (GHSA-45h7-499j-7ww3), and chained with the OS command injection flaw (CVE-2025-60787) to escalate a local unprivileged user to the Motion daemon user (often root), enabling full system compromise. This issue has been fixed in version 0.44.0. |
| Improper trust boundary enforcement in Language Servers for AWS before version 1.65.0 on all supported platforms may allow a for arbitrary code execution. If a local user opens a maliciously crafted workspace, any commands within the project configuration files may be automatically executed. This issue requires the user to trust the workspace when prompted.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to Language Servers for AWS version 1.65.0 or higher. |

| gonic is a music streaming server / free-software subsonic server API implementation. Prior to version 0.21.0, a logic error in `ServeCreateOrUpdatePlaylist` allows any authenticated Subsonic user (including non-admin) to write playlist M3U content to an attacker-controlled absolute filesystem path on the gonic host, and to create intermediate directories with `0o777` permissions. The bug is independent of CVE-2026-49338 and CVE-2026-49339. It is an unreachable guard clause combined with no path containment in `Store.Write`. Version 0.21.0 patches the issue. |
| Steeltoe is an open source project that provides a collection of libraries that helps users build cloud-native applications. In Steeltoe.Configuration.Abstractions 4.0.0 through 4.1.0, when MySQL or PostgreSQL service bindings from `VCAP_SERVICES` include TLS client credentials, the Connectors library writes those credentials to temporary files in `Path.GetTempPath()` using `File.CreateText`. On Linux, `File.CreateText` creates files with mode `0644` (world-readable) under the process umask, and the files are never deleted. The same key material is protected at mode `0400` in `/proc/<pid>/environ`. Steeltoe.Configuration.Abstractions version 4.2.0 patches the issue. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, prevent other processes from running in the container under a different UID with access to `/tmp`. |
