| CVE-2023-1390 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 5 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 2 more | 2025-04-23 | 7.5 High |
| A remote denial of service vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel’s TIPC kernel module. The while loop in tipc_link_xmit() hits an unknown state while attempting to parse SKBs, which are not in the queue. Sending two small UDP packets to a system with a UDP bearer results in the CPU utilization for the system to instantly spike to 100%, causing a denial of service condition. | ||||

| A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s Ext4 File System in how a user triggers several file operations simultaneously with the overlay FS usage. This flaw allows a local user to crash or potentially escalate their privileges on the system. Only if patch 9a2544037600 ("ovl: fix use after free in struct ovl_aio_req") not applied yet, the kernel could be affected. | ||||

| CVE-2022-2503 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus and 1 more | 2025-04-21 | 6.9 Medium |
| Dm-verity is used for extending root-of-trust to root filesystems. LoadPin builds on this property to restrict module/firmware loads to just the trusted root filesystem. Device-mapper table reloads currently allow users with root privileges to switch out the target with an equivalent dm-linear target and bypass verification till reboot. This allows root to bypass LoadPin and can be used to load untrusted and unverified kernel modules and firmware, which implies arbitrary kernel execution and persistence for peripherals that do not verify firmware updates. | There are use-after-free vulnerabilities in the Linux kernel's net/bluetooth/l2cap_core.c's l2cap_connect and l2cap_le_connect_req functions which may allow code execution and leaking kernel memory (respectively) remotely via Bluetooth. A remote attacker could execute code leaking kernel memory via Bluetooth if within proximity of the victim. | CVE-2017-17805 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 4 more | 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 7 more | 2025-04-20 | 7.8 High |
| The Salsa20 encryption algorithm in the Linux kernel before 4.14.8 does not correctly handle zero-length inputs, allowing a local attacker able to use the AF_ALG-based skcipher interface (CONFIG_CRYPTO_USER_API_SKCIPHER) to cause a denial of service (uninitialized-memory free and kernel crash) or have unspecified other impact by executing a crafted sequence of system calls that use the blkcipher_walk API. Both the generic implementation (crypto/salsa20_generic.c) and x86 implementation (arch/x86/crypto/salsa20_glue.c) of Salsa20 were vulnerable. | ||||
| CVE-2017-1000410 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 13 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 10 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The Linux kernel version 3.3-rc1 and later is affected by a vulnerability lies in the processing of incoming L2CAP commands - ConfigRequest, and ConfigResponse messages. This info leak is a result of uninitialized stack variables that may be returned to an attacker in their uninitialized state. By manipulating the code flows that precede the handling of these configuration messages, an attacker can also gain some control over which data will be held in the uninitialized stack variables. This can allow him to bypass KASLR, and stack canaries protection - as both pointers and stack canaries may be leaked in this manner. Combining this vulnerability (for example) with the previously disclosed RCE vulnerability in L2CAP configuration parsing (CVE-2017-1000251) may allow an attacker to exploit the RCE against kernels which were built with the above mitigations. These are the specifics of this vulnerability: In the function l2cap_parse_conf_rsp and in the function l2cap_parse_conf_req the following variable is declared without initialization: struct l2cap_conf_efs efs; In addition, when parsing input configuration parameters in both of these functions, the switch case for handling EFS elements may skip the memcpy call that will write to the efs variable: ... case L2CAP_CONF_EFS: if (olen == sizeof(efs)) memcpy(&efs, (void *)val, olen); ... The olen in the above if is attacker controlled, and regardless of that if, in both of these functions the efs variable would eventually be added to the outgoing configuration request that is being built: l2cap_add_conf_opt(&ptr, L2CAP_CONF_EFS, sizeof(efs), (unsigned long) &efs); So by sending a configuration request, or response, that contains an L2CAP_CONF_EFS element, but with an element length that is not sizeof(efs) - the memcpy to the uninitialized efs variable can be avoided, and the uninitialized variable would be returned to the attacker (16 bytes). | ||||

| The MATCH_ASSOC function in NTP before version 4.2.8p9 and 4.3.x before 4.3.92 allows remote attackers to cause an out-of-bounds reference via an addpeer request with a large hmode value. | ||||
| CVE-2017-14140 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Extras Rt | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The move_pages system call in mm/migrate.c in the Linux kernel before 4.12.9 doesn't check the effective uid of the target process, enabling a local attacker to learn the memory layout of a setuid executable despite ASLR. | ||||
