| An unauthenticated command injection vulnerability exists in Serviio Media Server versions 1.4 through 1.8 on Windows, in the /rest/action API endpoint exposed by the console component (default port 23423). The checkStreamUrl method accepts a VIDEO parameter that is passed unsanitized to a call to cmd.exe, enabling arbitrary command execution under the privileges of the web server. No authentication is required to exploit this issue, as the REST API is exposed by default and lacks access controls. |

This issue affects firmware versions before 24120701.
Likelihood: Moderate – The <redacted> binary does not seem to be used by the web interface, so it might be more difficult to find. It seems to be largely the same binary as used by the Iocharger Pedestal charging station, however. The attacker will also need a (low privilege) account to gain access to the <redacted> binary, or convince a user with such access to execute a crafted HTTP request.
Impact: Critical – The attacker has full control over the charging station as the root user, and can arbitrarily add, modify and delete
files and services.
CVSS clarification: The attack can be executed over any network connection serving the web interface (AV:N). There are no additional measures that need to be circumvented (AC:L) or attack preconditions (AT:N). THe attack is privileged, but the level does not matter (PR:L) and does not require user interaction (UI:N). Attack leads to full system compromised (VC:H/VI:H/VA:H) and compromised devices can be used to "pivot" to other networks that should be unreachable (SC:L/SI:L/SA:H). Because this an EV charger using high power, there is a potential safety impact (S:P). The attack can be automated (AU:Y). |

When a cookie longer than 511 bytes is processed, a stack buffer is overrun, leading to a crash or potential control of execution flow. |
| DumpDrop is a stupid simple file upload application that provides an interface for dragging and dropping files. An OS Command Injection vulnerability was discovered in the DumbDrop application, `/upload/init` endpoint. This vulnerability could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code remotely when the **Apprise Notification** enabled. This issue has been addressed in commit `4ff8469d` and all users are advised to patch. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability. |
| Prototype pollution vulnerability in apidoc-core versions 0.2.0 and all subsequent versions allows remote attackers to modify JavaScript object prototypes via malformed data structures, including the “define” property processed by the application, potentially leading to denial of service or unintended behavior in applications relying on the integrity of prototype chains. | A PHP objection injection vulnerability exists in the Monero Project’s Laravel-based forum software due to unsafe handling of untrusted input in the /get/image/ endpoint. The application passes a user-supplied link parameter directly to file_get_contents() without validation. MIME type checks using PHP’s finfo can be bypassed via crafted stream filter chains that prepend spoofed headers, allowing access to internal Laravel configuration files. An attacker can extract the APP_KEY from config/app.php, forge encrypted cookies, and trigger unsafe unserialize() calls, leading to reliable remote code execution. |
| An OS command injection vulnerability exists in AVTECH DVR, NVR, and IP camera devices within the adcommand.cgi endpoint, which interfaces with the ActionD daemon. Authenticated users can invoke the DoShellCmd operation, passing arbitrary input via the strCmd parameter. This input is executed directly by the system shell without sanitation allowing attackers to execute commands as the root user. |
| A backdoor in PHPStudy versions 2016 through 2018 allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code on affected installations. The backdoor listens for base64-encoded PHP payloads in the Accept-Charset HTTP header of incoming requests, decodes and executes the payload without proper validation. This leads to remote code execution as the web server user, compromising the affected system. |
